Multiple Defendants in Defective Footpath Case

We acted for a client who suffered injury as a result of a fall on a defective footpath. Initially the claimant represented herself and lodged the claim with the Injuries Board but there was a problem with identifying the Defendants. We took over the claim and ultimately had to name twelve respondents because no one would take responsibility for where the accident occurred. The claim was not dealt with by the Injuries Board and we issued proceedings with multiple Defendants and ultimately secured a successful settlement for our client without her having to attend Court to give evidence.
